CS-Ministries believes we can do something to get those in need back on track, leaving the crisis they were in behind them. Programs such as the GRACE Program, give hope to our veterans. This is an intensive program that provides a means for spiritual and emotional counseling, access to the VA for evaluation and follow up care, and short and long term housing. This effort will decrease the rate of the homeless among our communities’ veterans and in turn, reflect on a reduction in veteran suicide rate annually.
One of our long term goals is to use two underutilized demographics in our community, our youth and our veterans. We intend on providing collaborations for youth programs to mentor and assist our children in high risk communities, with constructive ways to get involved with their community. Youth programs will also be geared to allow our veteran heroes to be heroes in the eyes of our children. Veterans that succeed in the GRACE Program will be encouraged to continue on as youth mentors.
